Delhi have the lowest purse remaining out of all the franchises with a total budget of INR 9 crores. A few players Delhi Capitals (DC) can target in the auction are:
Colin Munro
Colin Munro, the explosive Kiwi batsman had a terrific KFC BBL 10 season where he amassed 441 runs at an average 33.92. He will be targeted by several franchises going into the auction. The left-handed New Zealand opening batsman is a nightmare for bowlers, with his clean hitting ability. Delhi Capitals have a strong batting core consisting of Indian players. However, Prithvi Shaw was inconsistent towards the second half of IPL last year and the Capitals would look forward to bolster their batting depth in the upcoming auction. Additionally, DC released Jason Roy ahead of the auction which leaves room for one additional overseas batsman.
Josh Inglis
Josh Inglis, the Australian batsman had another impressive BBL season as he scored 391 runs in his 15 outings at an impressive average of 35.55. Inglis is not one of the big names in the auction pool, but is certainly up there in terms of quality. Considering that the Capitals have the least amount of money remaining, they will consider bringing in Inglis.

Alex Hales
Alex Hales is currently the top scorer of the ongoing BBL 10 season. The English batsman has raised his stakes with his impressive performances in the BBL. Delhi Capitals will target Alex Hales in the auction. An opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Alex Hales will certainly be one of the most feared combinations in the upcoming IPL season.

Umesh Yadav
Delhi Capitals have a strong fast bowling core comprising of the South African duo, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje alongside the Englishman, Chris Woakes. However, they lack experience and depth in terms of their domestic pace bowling options. Ishant Sharma is known to be injury-prone and Avesh Khan does not have a lot of experience. In these circumstances, Umesh Yadav, who was released by RCB can be a top target for Delhi Capitals considering the quality and experience he adds to the bowling attack.
Shivam Dube
Shivam Dube was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2021 auction. Several franchises will bid for the services of the Indian all-rounder in the auction. Delhi Capitals can consider adding Dube to their squad which will give them an additional option if Marcus Stoinis does not make the playing eleven in every game. Dube can strike a few handy blows with the bat and can certainly do his job well as the sixth bowler.
