WATCH: Stunning bit of fielding from Virat Kohli; Siraj goes over to acknowledge

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s skipper Virat Kohli provides 100% commitment on the field and rarely tends to give away an inch. His work rate and intensity are often the pick-me-ups his teammates need. He was once again providing some stellar moments in the field against Rajasthan Royals, most notable coming off Mohammed Siraj’s bowling in the 19th over.

Chris Morris smashed Siraj’s widish delivery towards covers and he seemed to have hit just wide off Virat Kohli who was on the edge of the circle. On any other day it might’ve gone past the fielder but Kohli made a spectacular dive to grab a potential catch of the tournament. The ball seemed to have fallen just short of his hands, but the way Kohli managed to prevent the boundary left everyone awestruck.

Morris did not have enough time to scamper through for a single. Kohli, almost immediately after stopping the ball, picked it up and threw it to the keeper. It left everyone in the Bangalore side pumped up and skipper Kohli received appreciation from the bowler too. Siraj walked over to his captain and acknowledged his efforts.

Bangalore managed to restrict the Rajasthan Royals for 149 runs, with Harshal Patel picking up 3 wickets and taking his season tally to a whopping 26.

Here’s the video of that effort from Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli and company produce a stunning performance with the ball

The Royal Challengers Bangalore produced a stunning bowling performance having gotten off to a below-par start with Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal going rampant against their bowlers. Their duo added 77 runs for the opening wicket within no time, and Bangalore bowlers were left deflated. However, their ecstasy lasted far too short.

Chahal’s magnificent spell in the middle overs, coupled with some brilliant overs by Shahbaz Ahmed, saw them struggle to get hold of the game. Despite getting the first 100 runs of the innings in just 11 overs, Rajasthan could only manage 49 runs in the last 9 overs, under 6 runs an over. They had a similar problem against Sunrisers Hyderabad last game, where they could only manage 18 runs off the final 3 overs.
